Arrival in France

Je suis arrivee en France! 

I made it to Nice after a very long journey through Moscow of all places! Couldn't read a lick of Russian, there.  Thank god for pictures on their menus during my 2 1/2  hour layover. ;)

Nice is gorgeous and the sea is a gorgeous hue of turquoise.  The weather's fantastic, and speaking French full time (or at least attempting to) is really fun!  My host family is great, as is their very sweet dog.  Here's some pics from my first day in town when I ate lunch by the beach.  A bientot!

Nicholson Viaduct

This is a very famous bridge that used to be one of the Wonders of the World; it's also featured in architecture books.  My Great Grandfather helped build it.  Growing up, I used to pass by it every time I had to go to our family doctor.
